At a press conference held this afternoon at Ethiopian Airlines headquarters about a company plane that crashed today, March 10, 2019, shortly after takeoff in road to Nairobi from Addis Ababa, the director general of Ethiopian Airlines, who visited the scene of the accident, said: “it is too early to speculate on the cause of the accident and further investigations will be conducted to determine the reasons for the accident in collaboration with all stakeholders, including the aircraft manufacturer Boeing, the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority and other international entities, in order to meet international standards.
