The new exhibition of the Painter Abdellah Dibaji takes place at Mazagan Beach & Golf 2 to 18 February 2018.
Who does not want to get lost in the narrow streets of the medinas of the Kingdom secretly hoping to fall on a nugget, a moment of unusual life, a jubilant crowd or just a unique smell?
Movement to colors, it’s all emotion, the artist-painter, a native of Azemmour, explores the subtle secrets of lights and shapes of the medina of El Jadida and Azemmour.
These canvases reveal the finesse vibrant silhouettes rushing in the heart of unspoiled architecture, a rich cultural heritage witness.
Here and there, the keys of the Master reproduce the substance of memories artistic canvas, he thus leaves the viewer the freedom to guess the emotions.
His new exhibition offers a new reading for the native of the area or passing stranger, to appropriate the paintings by elusive moments.
“Your name is destiny,” said Abdelkebir Khatibi, novelist and sociologist native of El Jadida. Indeed, Dibaji has continued to explore and appropriate these Medinas, essential cultural references, gates of the intersection of civilizations for centuries. That is his destiny!
It remains, as the developer and the enhancer of a whole heritage, quietly, but with deep sincerity, his artist’s soul merges into the musicality of these medinas dear to his heart.
His paintings have been around the world since 1981, and with it the whole soul of a region. A true ambassador of culture, he proudly wears his destiny; that of transmitting his art what is not seen.
Abdellah Dibaji was born in Azemmour, he lives and works in El Jadida. He made the Academy of Fine Arts in Liege (Belgium), before embracing the teaching career, first as a teacher then as arts education inspector. Abdullah Dibaji began exhibiting personally since 1981: Morocco, Germany, France, USA … His group exhibitions, which number in the dozens, started long before. In 1998, he stayed at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. In 2002, the price of the discovery, awarded by the city of Marseille, crowned its work while exposed to Castle Borely.
