Lomé hosted from November 30 to December 2, 2021, the 2021 edition of Rencontres Africa. The event was held under the theme “Is Africa’s Economic Recovery Business Business?” “.

Opened through a conference focused on the theme and discussed, among others, by the Togolese Prime Minister Victoire Tomegah Dogbé, the Beninese banker Lionnel Zinsou and the Togolese Minister Rose Kayi Mivedor in charge of investment promotion, the sixth edition of the Rencontres Africa took place in a hybrid format. It brought together a few hundred African and French companies and investors with the objective of generating lasting partnerships and profitable business contracts for the various parties.

The event was an opportunity for the Togolese authorities to appeal to investors and praise the opportunities offered by their country. “There is this agility that Togo has always demonstrated. Investing in Togo is really the assurance of finding the favorable environment for the achievement of your ambitions because we want to see you succeed and your businesses prosper. Togo is the ideal land for that, ”declared Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé at the launch. And to highlight the geostrategic positioning of the country, an openness to the sea and the climate of peace and security that reigns there.

The Rencontres Africa was organized for the very first time in 2016 in Paris, and serves as a platform for exposing business opportunities between African and French leaders.
