🎯 Theme: Joining Forces for Accessible Healthcare for All
For this inaugural edition, three key priorities will be addressed:
1️⃣ Prevention of Cardiovascular and Neurovascular Diseases
💡 Did you know that cardiovascular and neurovascular diseases cause approximately 18 million deaths worldwide each year?

A significant share of these deaths occur in both Africa and Europe. Together, let’s develop sustainable solutions to reduce these alarming numbers.
2️⃣ Prevention of Women’s Health Issues
💡 Each year, millions of women are affected by conditions such as cervical cancer or complications related to maternity.
🔸 Around 300,000 maternal deaths are recorded annually, often in avoidable circumstances.

Let’s focus on concrete action to improve women’s health outcomes across continents.
3️⃣ Combating Counterfeit Medicines
💡 Did you know that nearly 10% of medicines sold globally are counterfeit?

These falsified products are responsible for hundreds of thousands of preventable deaths every year. Let’s face this global challenge together through stronger cooperation.
📌 A vital gathering to strengthen Europe-Africa health cooperation and raise awareness of major health challenges.
