Dubai: 28th Climate Change Conference (COP 28)

The 28th UN Climate Conference of the Parties (COP 28) will take place from November 30 to December 12, 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The 28th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP 28) will be held in Dubai from November 30 to December 12. This international meeting will bring together the signatory countries of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, as well as climate stakeholders from around the world.

The UAE presidency of COP 28 has announced its intention to focus on the first global assessment, the energy transition and cooperation between countries in the North and South.

COP 28 objectives

• Make the conference more inclusive and accessible,
• support mitigation solutions to raise ambitions,
• Focus on the conditions for the global objective on adaptation and strengthen financing for the latter,
• move forward with the operationalization of the loss and damage fund created at COP 27,
• ensure more balanced access to financing to combat global warming.
