Lomé: 2nd Edition of the Sovereign Securities Exchange Day (JTS)
UMOA-Titres Announces the Second Edition of the Sovereign Securities Exchange Day (JTS)
UMOA-Titres announces the second edition of the Sovereign Securities Exchange Day (JTS), which will take place on June 26, 2024, at the Hotel 2 February in Lomé, Togo. Established as a complement to the Public Securities Market Meetings (REMTP), this event aims to delve into crucial issues with Public Securities Market (MTP) stakeholders to elevate it to the highest market practice standards.
The first edition of the JTS, held on November 8, 2023, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, brought together over a hundred renowned experts and investors under the theme “Diversification of the Investor Base: A Range of Services Adapted to Client Needs and the Development of the UEMOA Financial Market.” This event, marked by enriching presentations, an interactive panel, and master class sessions, was a resounding success.
Building on the success of this first day, UMOA-Titres aims to go even further for this second edition, which is primarily focused on secondary market issues. It provides an exceptional opportunity for exchanges between the various MTP stakeholders. It is also a favorable framework for actors to better understand:
- The benefits and added value of a dynamic and deep secondary market.
- The value and importance of market infrastructure in the development of the secondary market for Public Securities.
This second edition of the JTS will feature a rich and varied program, including presentations on the UEMOA secondary Public Securities market, high-level panels on invigorating this market, master class sessions on fixed income product pricing, and a live demonstration of the trading platform for financial instruments being developed by UMOA-Titres. Additionally, there will be networking opportunities to foster exchanges between participants.
Registrations are now open and can be done via the official event website www.jts-umoa.org. UMOA-Titres invites all regional financial market actors, especially authorized intermediaries, to participate in this event to contribute to the development of the secondary market.
