Dubaï: The Second Edition of Oil Days
The consultancy firm 3M-Partners & Conseils is organizing the second edition of Oil Days from June 5th to 8th, 2024 in Dubai, under the theme “The Impact of Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) on National Economies“.
This theme will showcase the benefits that these contracts can bring to public finances, economic and social development, as well as territorial planning. As a reminder, the PSC is a major legal contract used in many sub-Saharan African countries. Mastery of it offers state authorities a range of possibilities in legal, technical, financial, and environmental aspects.
The second edition will welcome over 150 participants from several African countries, representing a diversity of administrations directly or indirectly involved in the PSC. These include:
- Officials from hydrocarbon, economic, public accounts, environmental, and employment administrations.
- Officials from entities such as the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons, Tax Authorities, Customs, Treasury, and national oil companies.
- Entrepreneurs from the oil and gas sector.
Special attention will be given to:
- Local Content
- Revenues and Public Finances
- Ownership of assets and control
- Environmental and Social Impact
- Technology Transfer – Employment and Training
- Diversified Economic Development and Investments
Continuing the tradition of sharing experiences, the second edition will innovate with the presentation of the United Arab Emirates’ transformation strategy from hydrocarbons, which will be delivered by a local actor.
Oil Days aims to become a key meeting platform for institutional decision-makers to better understand and manage this type of contract.
