The Inter-African Federation of Insurance Brokers (FIAC) was established on September 13, 2005, in Bamako. The FIAC was created to address a gap in the institutional framework of our CIMA community zone, specifically the national insurance brokers that emerged from the significant restructuring of the CIMA markets in the early 1990s. The FIAC is headquartered in Bamako, at Hamdallaye ACI 2000, office 103 of the Private Sector Center (CSP). It comprises 14 associations and federations of brokers from CIMA member countries (14 countries) and two associated markets (observer countries).

It contributes to the material and moral improvement, prestige, and defense of insurance and reinsurance brokerage, both nationally and internationally.
