After the success of previous editions, the Attijariwafa bank group gave new impetus to its “Attijari City” Business Game by launching a pan-African version.
This edition was organized by the Attijariwafa bank group from April 5 to 9, 2021.
The young talents were brought to embody the role of business leaders acting in the Building sector and worked as a team in order to make joint and strategic decisions and formulate adequate responses to the proposed issues, namely the support of investors. in the realization of their real estate projects.
Each team was provided with a starting capital of 5,000,000 “Attijari Coins”, currency created for the game, the young people worked throughout the competition to develop their activities and ensure the sustainability of their business.
This event, which mobilized a large panel of students on a continental scale, aims to create a strong constructive dynamic, based on diversity as real wealth, with the participation of 12 higher schools from 4 countries, namely:
Cameroon: ESCG / ESSEC Douala / UCAC,
Senegal: Sup de Co Dakar / ISM Senegal / BEM Dakar,
Morocco: Hassan II University / Euromed University of Fez / Polytechnic University of Benguerir,
Côte d’Ivoire: EPCCI Ivory Coast / ESATIC / AGITEL Ivory Coast.
In this edition, the students of AGITEL Côte d’Ivoire climbed to the top of the podium, closely followed by the UCAC – ICAM Cameroon team. Third place went to the ESCG Cameroon team. The Pan-African version of the Business Game “Attijari City” gave students a rich learning experience, fostering team spirit, the creation of synergies and the spirit of sharing. Indeed, Gaming in general embodies a new generation of learning tools with a new educational format that allows the acquisition of skills by doing.
“Attijari City” is fully in line with this logic by inviting students to concretely implement financial mechanisms and banking concepts through immersion in the business world.
Through the launch of this pan-African version of the Business Game, the Attijariwafa bank group reaffirms its ambition to actively participate in the emergence of African talents by establishing a real dynamic at the international and continental level and by supporting young students through initiatives intended to enable them to acquire new skills, and also to strengthen its collaboration with its academic partners on a continental scale.
